An excellent video demonstrating how a laparoscopy is performed to evaluate the uterus (note a small fibroid appearing as a bulge in the uterus), fallopian tubes and ovaries. Blue dye is injected into the uterus, entering the fallopian tubes and spilling from the end of the tubes into the abdominal cavity, confirming that both tubes are open….

This video demonstrates removal of a fibroid located within the uterine cavity The fibroid is the round structure with prominent blood vessels responsible for the heavy bleeding and infertility. The fibroid is resected utilizing a Resctoscope which has a wire loop at the end cutting the fibroid into pieces until the entire fibroid is removed….

This video demonstrates removal of a fibroid growing in the lower uterine segment. The fibroid is the elongated bulge to the left of the uterus and is accessed via cutting the layer over the fibroid with a laser beam. The fibroid is then held with a grasper and is removed from the abdominal cavity by a power tool (Morcellator) through a small 1/2 inch incision in the abdomen….
